"Don't Be Misled Into Thinking All Home Inspectors Are Created Equal" The truth is, home inspections are a second occupation for most inspectors, coming from totally unrelated fields. You need to ask yourself, "who do I want to inspect my new home, Someone who has taken a ten day inspection course with not construction back ground or a person with 30+ years hands on experience relevant to home inspections?"

Using price as a deciding factor when choosing a home inspector is not a good idea if you expect experience and accountability. Bozeman now has 8 home inspection companies, several of which have no actual prior knowledge of acceptable construction techniques.  Home inspections are not a second occupation at API, our inspection process, training and 35+ years hands on construction experience, combined with over 4500 home & building inspections will provide you maximum protection. We have been conducting building inspections since 1984 and in Gallatin County since 1999. We have a proven track record of protecting our clients. You won't get better protection at any price!

API Certified Radon Screening & (Radon Links)

There are only 4 home inspectors in the Bozeman area certified to screen for radon. Hiring an inspector who has not taken the time or effort to become certified may produce false results. They obviously are not taking radon seriously and you certainly can not rely on their test results if they follow the EPA testing procedures.

Professional Home Inspections

Regardless of the age of the home, Everyone should consider having a home inspection prior to real estate transactions.  Advantage Property Inspections is a full service home inspection company, which provides the most extensive home inspection available in the Bozeman area. Out of State Buyers  /  Buyers and  Newly Constructed Homes. We can also conduct, well water testing, radon gas screening and visual mold inspections.   If you're moving within the state or relocating to Montana for work or pleasure contact API for your real estate inspection.  Call  Toll Free 1-866-585-7821 or send an e-mail. to set up a home inspection. You can also have your realtor contact API at 406-585-7820

API’s inspection reporting system fully complies and exceeds all (ASHI) standards. They are extremely detailed, comprehensive and include defined, full color photos of deficient items. The photos have proven very effective when reporting items found in attics and crawl spaces as well as throughout the property.
Many home inspectors claim to conduct inspections to "ASHI Standards." Using an inspector who claims to meet ASHI Standards is not the same as hiring a trained, tested ASHI Member who has passed the National Home Inspectors Exam. Many home inspectors do not possess the skill, training and experience that can be expected from a recognized ASHI Member. A copy of the Standards of Practice is available on this site.

We Inspect Every Home As If We We're Buying It Ourselves!

In January 2006, House Bill 393, which would require home inspector certification, set minimum inspection standards and a code of ethics was rejected in the Montana house of representatives. This means Montana still has no licensing program to protect you as a home buyer. Anyone without proper training or prior knowledge can start inspecting homes for the unsuspecting public. You as the home buyer need to check out the home inspection company and verify credentials so you can make a informed decision as to who will inspect your home.

Our Credentials are unmatched by any local inspection company and can be easily verified on this site. Remember a home inspector will say almost anything to get your inspection, so you need to verify their credentials. If you can find a home inspector with better credentials, a more complete background and a better track record for protecting home buyers, I will pay for your home inspection!
